Overview
The Spokane Winery Association is looking for a Part\-Time Managing Director to help our non\-profit organization promote the Spokane area wine industry. Started in 2002, the Spokane Winery Association is a group of wineries, tasting rooms, and specialty wine shops located in Spokane County. The ideal candidate will have experience organizing diverse groups of people, planning events, and representing and advocating the mission of the organization.
$22\-$28 per hour DOE (average hours per week 10\-12 not exceed 20 hours). Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends when necessary.
Responsibilities
Communication: handling all incoming requests for information via email and social media direct messages , facilitating communication between members and the Board, and among other related trade associations, assisting in the production of monthly newsletters (future task). Sending meeting zoom links and reminders. Coordinating in\-person quarterly meetings.
Liaison to Marketing Coordinator: approving posts, coordinating events/social media posts, collaborating on marketing materials for annual events and promotions.
Basic Clerical Tasks: maintaining files, keeping member records up to date, updating and editing mailing lists, keeping all licenses and subscriptions up to date, mailing out Passports as orders come in
Note Taking: writing, editing, and distributing accurate and comprehensible minutes from Board Meetings.
Event Planning: 4 annual events, coordinating and executing a few small\-scale member events annually, keeping within budget and timelines.
Misc: Representing SWA in public facing meetings per board request, i.e. quarterly WA Wine Commission meetings, grant writing, errand running, confidence and tact in dealing with varied groups and personalities.
Requirements
Proficiency with Word, Excel, Google Docs/Calendar/Mail. Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of social media.
Two or more years administrative experience, coordinating organizations, comfortable coordinating diverse tasks for an organization.
