We are a small, client\-focused accounting firm seeking a reliable and detail\-oriented Part\-Time Administrative Assistant to support our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a professional office environment, is highly organized, and can manage multiple tasks efficiently. There is also an opportunity for the right candidate to expand their skills into bookkeeping and tax preparation over time.

Schedule:

  • 15–20 hours per week for most of the year
  • Opportunity for full\-time hours during tax season
  • Compensation:

  • $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble tax workpapers and organize client files
  • Prepare and send completed tax returns to clients
  • Assist with billing and invoicing
  • Respond to IRS and state tax notices under guidance from staff
  • Provide general administrative support as needed
  • Qualifications:

  • Previous administrative or office experience preferred (accounting firm experience a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, especially during busy seasons
  • Interest in learning bookkeeping and/or tax preparation is a plus
