Join our dynamic IT team as an MQ \- CICS Middleware Administrator, where you'll play a vital role in managing and optimizing middleware solutions that drive seamless business operations. Responsibilities
- Manage and administer IBM MQ messaging middleware to ensure reliable message delivery across distributed systems.
- Oversee CICS transaction server environments, ensuring high availability and optimal performance for mission\-critical applications.
- Collaborate with solution architects to design scalable and secure system architectures aligned with business needs.
- Monitor system health, perform troubleshooting, and resolve issues related to middleware components proactively.
- Implement and maintain system security measures including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls to safeguard sensitive data.
- Automate deployment processes using DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, scripting languages (Bash, Shell Scripting), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Support integration efforts utilizing RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, operational procedures, and incident reports.
- Conduct regular system upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure compliance with security standards and operational excellence.
- Extensive experience with IBM MQ administration and CICS transaction management in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of system architecture principles including service\-oriented architecture (SOA), solution architecture, and system design.
- Proficiency in operating systems such as Linux, Windows Server, UNIX, and VMware virtualization platforms (ESXi).
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure components including RAID controllers, load balancing solutions, DNS/DHCP services, firewalls, VPNs, and network protocols like TCP/IP.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure for deploying scalable middleware solutions.
- Hands\-on experience with databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft SQL Server; knowledge of NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Programming skills in JavaScript, Python, Bash scripting, T\-SQL for automation and integration tasks.
- Experience working within Agile development methodologies and SDLC processes for efficient project delivery.
- Expertise in information security practices to protect systems against vulnerabilities; knowledge of firewall configuration and cybersecurity best practices is essential.
- Ability to utilize containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes for microservices deployment.
