- Process sales transactions accurately using the point\-of\-sale system.
- Prepare customer invoices, receipts, and related sales documentation.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness, order, and professional presentation of the store, sales floor, and front counter areas.
- Restock shelves, bins, and displays to ensure merchandise is organized and accessible.
- Receive, unpack, label, and stock incoming merchandise.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low stock, damaged items, or discrepancies to management.
- Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory, and stock organization.
- Help ensure products are properly displayed, stored, and rotated where applicable.
- Maintain familiarity with store inventory, especially roofing materials, sealants, coatings, tools, and related building products.
- Maintain accurate records related to sales, inventory, and customer transactions.
- Answer phones and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Support basic filing, data entry, and administrative tasks related to store operations.
- Coordinate with warehouse or delivery staff regarding product availability and customer orders.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in retail, customer service, store operations, or sales support preferred.
- Experience in a hardware store, building supply company, contractor supply environment, or similar setting strongly preferred.
- Basic understanding of building product applications and the ability to communicate product information to customers clearly and confidently.
- Cash handling and point\-of\-sale experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn company systems and software.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast\-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Rooftops Silicone Distributors, Inc. is seeking a dependable, customer\-focused, and detail\-oriented Store Clerk to support daily retail store operations. This position is responsible for assisting customers, maintaining organized and well\-stocked inventory, processing sales transactions, and helping ensure the store operates efficiently and professionally at all times.
In addition to front\-of\-store responsibilities, this role also provides shop assistant support by helping receive, unpack, label, organize, and prepare merchandise for sale, monitoring stock levels, maintaining orderly product displays and storage areas, and supporting the overall flow of store and shop operations. The successful candidate will serve as a friendly, dependable, and knowledgeable representative of the company, addressing customer inquiries, supporting store operations, and contributing to overall customer satisfaction and store success.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with building materials, construction supplies, roofing products, or related building products and be comfortable assisting customers with product selection and basic product knowledge in a building supply environment.
