Role Summary

We’re seeking a hands\-on Director of Finance \& Operations to own and execute day\-to\-day finance operations while helping build and scale the finance function from the ground up. This is an operational leadership role for someone who thrives on being close to the details, building processes and automation, and creating scalable systems—while partnering with executive leadership on planning, reporting, and decision support.

The ideal candidate has experience running core finance operations, brings a strong execution mindset, and is excited by broad exposure across finance, systems, and cross\-functional initiatives in a fast growing company.

A candidate who excels in this role will have a path to VP of Finance and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

* Finance Operations \& Accounting

  • Own day\-to\-day finance operations including AP/AR, billing, revenue tracking, expense management, and cash flow reporting (with AP/AR support)
  • Manage the monthly close process
  • Maintain accurate, timely financial reporting for leadership and board review
  • Oversee SaaS metrics tracking and reporting (MRR, GRR, NRR, CAC, LTV, etc.)
  • Help design, implement, document, and improve financial processes and controls
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows and improve data accuracy
  • Partner with sales on contract structuring and deal desk workflows
  • * Payments, Billing \& Financial Systems

  • Own and manage payment processing operations (e.g. Stripe)
  • Oversee billing and revenue recognition processes
  • Reconcile payment transactions and monitor take rates
  • Own core financial systems (QuickBooks, HubSpot) and their integrations
  • * FP\&A, Reporting \& Analytics

  • Support and maintain the company’s financial models, forecasts, and budgets
  • Help build and maintain management reporting, KPIs, and OKRs
  • Develop unit economics analysis and scenario planning tools
  • Help design scalable systems for collecting, validating, and reporting financial and operational data
  • Contribute to board and investor reporting, including data preparation and analysis
  • Leverage automation and AI\-assisted tools to improve reporting and forecasting
  • * HR \& Operations Support

  • Oversee HR ops including payroll coordination, benefits administration, and compliance
  • Manage finance and admin software vendor relationships
  • Support cross\-functional operational initiatives as the business scales
  • Requirements* Highly Desired

  • 5–7 years of experience in finance, accounting, FP\&A, or finance operations
  • Hands\-on SaaS experience owning core finance workflows
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, billing, and revenue recognition
  • Familiarity with Stripe, QuickBooks, HubSpot, and/or BI or reporting tools
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets and/or Excel)
  • Process\-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Comfort using modern tools, automation, and AI
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA a plus)

  • Experience at a Series A/B or growth\-stage company
  • Experience with BI tools, data visualization, databases, SQL, or Google Apps Script
  • Experience with transaction\-heavy or marketplace\-style business models
