Clinical Director
Position Description
The Clinical Director is directly supervised by the Executive Director of the agency and shall provide direct clinical supervision to all of the Agency’s Employment Staff. The Clinical Director will assist the Executive Director in the formulation and implementation of the policies, procedures, and programs of the agency relating to counseling and casework. This is a professional staff position and, therefore, is exempt from the wage and hour provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. The Program Director is appointed by the Executive Director and his/her designated substitute.
Position Qualifications
The Clinical Director shall have a Master’s Degree in Human Services from an
accredited college or university, as well as three (3\) years in providing casework services
to children and their families. Excellent written and verbal skills are required. The
ability to recruit and counselor is also required.
Position Responsibilities
- Provides direct supervision of all Clinicians and Counselors and the services they provide, such as counseling, treatment supervision, service plans, oversight of case narratives, discharges, etc., for the Mental Health Skill\-builders Services, Day Treatment Programs and Intensive In\-Home.
- Ensures that all services provided by Clinicians and Counselors are of the highest quality and that proper documentation is maintained. Ensures that all regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards are met by the agency.
- Provides in\-service training for Clinicians and Counselors and recommends training to the Executive Director of CJAB Inc. as well as training outside CJAB, Inc. to meet the professional and skill development needs of the community.
- Assists the Executive Director in the formulation and implementation of the policies and programs (Day Treatment and Intensive In\-Home) of CJAB.
- Provides assistance and support to the Executive Director in other areas, as needed.
- Identifies needs and makes recommendations to the Executive Director for changes in the existing programs and/or the addition of needed services.
- Assists the Executive Director in interviewing employment candidates for vacant positions and makes recommendations, as appropriate
- Implements, evaluates, and modifies service plans for all assigned individuals.
- Performs individual, family, group counseling, and crisis intervention for individuals.
- Evaluate all assigned individual and group supervisions conducted by the Clinical staff.
- Provides supervision to Office and Clinical staff and/or student interns.
- Liaison between Office and Clinical staff and/or student interns.
- Formulates and implements disciplinary policies for the company.
- Available for twenty\-four\-hour crisis intervention and administrative support.
- Completes clinical documentation and paperwork in accordance with CJAB policies and procedures.
- Actively coordinates case management, discharge, and aftercare planning with referral agencies.
- Assumes on\-call responsibility as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Assists the Executive Director in the development of the budget and makes recommendations and proposals regarding program needs and expenditures.
