The Connecting Fathers, Connecting Families Program supports fathers through case management, peer support, parenting education, and family engagement activities to promote responsible fatherhood and stronger family units. This program covers Osceola, Lake, Sumter, Volusia and Putnam counties.
Job Description:
The Program Assistant provides administrative and programmatic support to ensure the successful delivery of fatherhood services across multiple counties. This role plays a key part in supporting participant engagement, maintaining program organization, and assisting with events, workshops, and day\-to\-day operations.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail\-oriented, people\-focused, and passionate about supporting fathers and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Support
- Assist with the coordination and implementation of program activities, including workshops, peer support groups, and father\-child events
- Support participant onboarding, including intake documentation and orientation scheduling
- Maintain accurate and up\-to\-date participant files and program records
- Track attendance, engagement, and required documentation for reporting purposes
- Provide general administrative support including scheduling, data entry, and file management
- Assist with preparation of program materials, sign\-in sheets, and reports
- Support compliance with grant requirements by ensuring documentation is complete and organized
- Help manage program calendars and coordinate logistics for meetings and sessions
- Serve as a point of contact for overall program delivery efforts and activities
- Support outreach efforts to engage new fathers and re\-engage inactive participants
- Assist in creating a welcoming, respectful, and father\-friendly environment
- Assist with planning and execution of program events, including setup, coordination, and breakdown
- Help coordinate guest speakers, facilitators, and community partners
- Ensure materials and supplies are prepared and available
- Enter and update participant data in designated systems (e.g., Salesforce or other CRM)
- Assist in compiling monthly reports and tracking program outcomes
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of participant information
- Bachelor's or Associate’s degree w/ relevant experience in social services, nonprofit work, or administration preferred
- 1–2 years of administrative or program support experience
- Strong organizational and time\-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with diverse populations, including fathers involved in various life circumstances
- Passion for family strengthening and fatherhood engagement
- Ability to multitask in a fast\-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and follow\-through
- Team\-oriented with a positive, solutions\-focused mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or data systems
- Ability to travel locally within service areas as needed
