- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position plays a key part in processing applications and checks that support motor vehicle operations. You will handle important clerical tasks using specialized equipment and work closely with team members to keep workflow moving. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
* Machine Operation: Operate OPEX Falcon and OPEX Eagle equipment by following correct start up, shut down, and cleaning procedures
* Mail Preparation: Sort and prepare incoming trays of envelopes and remove items that do not meet processing requirements
* Batch Handling: Place processed applications and checks into trays, prepare batch headers, and transport items to designated locations
* Error Resolution: Identify and correct track jams, match applications with checks, and resolve balancing rejections using system reports
* Data Entry: Enter check amounts, verify scan line information, and complete balancing tasks for various work sources
* Team Support: Work with coworkers on shared processing tasks and assist during peak seasons to meet workload needs

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
* Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
* Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $38,515 (before taxes).
