Overview
Join our dynamic property management team as a Property Management Assistant, where your enthusiasm and organizational skills will drive exceptional tenant experiences and streamline property operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with property managers, leasing agents, and maintenance teams to ensure properties are well\-maintained, tenants are satisfied, and regulatory standards are met. Duties
- Assist with lease administration, including lease renewals, amendments, and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations
- Support property leasing activities by scheduling tours, processing applications, and coordinating move\-ins and move\-outs
- Manage tenant communications via phone, email, and in person, providing excellent customer service and resolving inquiries promptly
- Maintain accurate data entry within property management software such as Yardi or OneSite; handle filing and document organization
- Assist with rent collection processes, including processing payments and following up on overdue accounts in accordance with Section 8 guidelines
- Support property maintenance coordination by tracking work orders, scheduling repairs, and ensuring timely completion of tasks
- Prepare reports on occupancy rates, lease status, and maintenance activities to aid in decision\-making and operational planning
- Prior experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is highly desirable
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low\-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs and Section 8 housing regulations is a plus
- Proficiency in Yardi, OneSite CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), or similar property management software
- Strong understanding of Landlord\-Tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal administrative procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and conflict management abilities
- Demonstrated experience in contracts negotiation, upselling rental units or services, and handling lease agreements
- Office experience involving data entry, filing systems, facilities management coordination, and administrative support tasks
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast\-paced environment
