Section II \- Description of Duties Performed
General Summary of Purpose of this Position:
Under the general supervision of the Kitchen Production Manager the Evening Shift Lead demonstrates exceptional customer service while acting as the evening manager overseeing rotating groups of new and returning volunteers. Responsible for establishing and modeling customer service expectations and training evening volunteer groups for the delivery of a quality dining experience. Evening Shift Leads also ensure safety and proper food handling techniques, maintain temperature logs and meal records, and supervise evening clean up. Performs other duties as required.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1\. Operations (80%)
- Train and supervise volunteers in performance of customer service, food handling, adhering to food safety standards, maintaining inventory records, and cleaning and closing duties of the Fork \& Spoon during meal service
- Maintain positive relationships with volunteers
- Assist with food preparations as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to Fork \& Spoon patrons
- Ensure Fork \& Spoon is a welcoming, safe dining space for all patrons
- Set up, oversee, and close Fork \& Spoon point of sale system
- Maintain food and temperature logs in accordance with predetermined guidelines
- Provide customer counts/data to FOH Manager
- Maintain communications with supervisor and other Evening Shift Leads through a communications log
- Document problems and issues as they arise
- Attend monthly Evening Shift Lead meetings outside of normal shift hours
- Attends monthly all\-staff meeting
- Reads employee communications and weekly newsletters
- Two years of food service experience (floor manager, wait staff, bartender or runner) preferred
- Graduation from high school or GED required
- This position requires regular handling of sensitive and confidential client and agency information. Unauthorized disclosure could harm client interests and the organization, and may also violate state and federal privacy laws. This position may have access to reports, records, and personnel files, and must exercise the highest level of discretion, judgment, and confidentiality at all times.

- Utilize computer Internet/ E\-Mail to access, send, retrieve, save, print, or transmit documents, or data files
- Operate personal computer with Windows operating system to start programs, input, format, and edit data files and print or transmit data
- Utilize proprietary, custom or online programs or data bases to input, format, and edit data and save, print, or transmit data. Specify software: Google Docs
- The person in this position must comply with State and Federal regulations and laws, Agency (HRDC) policies and procedures, and specialized professional or industry guidelines/standards.
- Valid Driver License

- This position operates under general supervision and coordinates with supervisor if/when fluctuations to the regularly scheduled activities occurs. Consults with supervisor regularly on all projects.

- Requires judgment from time to time in the application of broader aspects of established practices to problems and situations not falling clearly or concisely within the limitations of accepted standards or precedents. Employee resolves routine problems and refers unusual problems to supervisor.

- Works in temperature controlled restaurant environment;
