New Orleans Black Pride is seeking a hands\-on Production Assistant to support the execution of Pride Weekend 2026, including a Welcome Reception, Summit, and Festival.
This is not a passive role. We’re looking for someone who can move, think, problem\-solve, and execute in real time while directly supporting the Executive Director and production team. Contract Details
Timeline: May 1 – June 9, 2026
Event Dates: June 4–6, 2026 (full availability required)
Compensation: $1,500 stipend
Payment Structure:
$400 retainer upon signing (refundable if contract terms are not met)
$1,100 paid Net 30 after successful completion of event responsibilities What You’ll Do
Pre\-Production (May):
Attend walkthroughs and planning meetings (virtual \+ in\-person)
Assist with logistics, coordination, and prep
Support vendor communication and confirmations
On\-Site Execution (June 4–6\):
Directly support Executive Director and production team
Assist with setup \+ breakdown
Coordinate with vendors (rentals, staging, AV, etc.)
Manage guest flow and support event operations
Troubleshoot in real time in a fast\-paced environment
Post\-Event (June 7–9\):
Assist with breakdown, returns, and wrap\-out tasksWhat We’re Looking For
Experience in event production, festivals, or conferences
Understanding of event flow, layout, or set design
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Strong communication and problem\-solving skillsRequirements
Must have reliable transportation \+ valid driver’s license
Must be able to lift 50\+ lbs
Must be able to stand/work long hours (8–12\+ hours during event days)
