POSITION OVERVIEW
Gill \& Brissette, a boutique criminal defense law firm in Fort Worth, Texas, seeks an organized and professional Legal Administrative Assistant to join our reception and administrative team. This role is critical to our firm's daily operations—you'll be the first point of contact for clients, attorneys, and the public, while also managing case file initiation and administrative tasks.
This is a full\-time, in\-office position offering opportunities for growth into an office manager or paralegal track based on performance and career interests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reception \& Client Services
· Greet visitors professionally and manage check\-in procedures
· Answer and route incoming calls with professionalism and confidentiality
· Schedule appointments and manage calendar for multiple attorneys
· Respond to initial client inquiries via phone and email
· Maintain a welcoming, organized reception area
· Handle mail, deliveries, and package management
Case File Initiation \& Management
· Set up new case files following firm procedures and protocols
· Input client information into case management software
· Organize and file case documents
· Ensure file completeness and accuracy
· Maintain confidentiality of all client information
· Coordinate with attorneys and paralegal staff on file status
Administrative Support
· Manage general office operations and logistics
· Perform data entry and document processing
· Assist with scheduling and coordination tasks
· Support other administrative functions as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education \& Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or legal/administrative experience preferred
- General legal or administrative background strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Fluency in Spanish (required)
