Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Online and In\-Person Auction Sales and Assistant to join our team! This energetic role combines the excitement of auction sales with administrative support, ensuring seamless operations both virtually and on\-site. As a key member of our auction team, you will facilitate engaging online bidding experiences while managing in\-person auction events with professionalism and enthusiasm. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop versatile skills in sales, customer service, and office management within a lively, fast\-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist with organizing and promoting online auction listings across various digital platforms, ensuring accurate descriptions and appealing presentation
- Support in conducting live and silent auctions in person, including registration, bidder assistance, and payment processing
- Manage incoming inquiries via multi\-line phone systems and email, providing exceptional customer support and information about auction items and procedures
- Handle clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, proofreading, and maintaining detailed records of sales transactions using QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Oversee front desk responsibilities, including greeting visitors, managing office supplies, and maintaining a professional reception area
- Coordinate calendar management for auction schedules, staff appointments, and special events using Google Workspace tools
- Ensure smooth office operations through organizational skills, time management, and effective communication with team members and clients
- Proficiency in QuickBooks for bookkeeping and financial record\-keeping
- Strong office management experience with excellent organizational skills
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist diverse clientele effectively
- Excellent computer literacy including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace applications
- Experience with multi\-line phone systems, phone etiquette, and customer service excellence
- Familiarity with clerical tasks such as filing, proofreading, data entry, and calendar management
- Demonstrated ability to handle administrative responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Proven time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy auction periods
- Personal assistant or office experience that showcases reliability and professionalism
