- Serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking assistance from the Bailiff Department.
- Greet and assist members of the public in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner.
- Respond to walk\-up inquiries regarding Housing Court processes, services, and procedures.
- Provide assistance with locating, reviewing, and submitting Housing Court forms and related documents.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate department personnel when necessary.
- Provide general information to the public while ensuring compliance with court policies and procedures.
- Maintain visitor sign\-in sheets and assist with managing the flow of visitors within the department.
- Process and organize forms and documents submitted by members of the public as directed by department staff.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Bailiff Department, including data entry and record maintenance.
- Maintain orderly and professional reception and waiting areas.
- Assist Bailiffs and departmental staff with routine administrative duties as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Bailiff or the Housing Court Judge.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience providing customer service or administrative support in a public or professional office setting.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with standard office software applications.

- Post\-secondary education or professional training.

Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant assigned to the Bailiff Department serves as the primary point of contact for members of the public seeking assistance from the Housing Court. This position is responsible for providing professional customer service to individuals visiting the Bailiff Department, assisting with walk\-up inquiries, and helping ensure the orderly flow of information and services. The Administrative Assistant assists members of the public with general questions regarding Housing Court processes, provides guidance on forms and procedures, and performs administrative and clerical duties in support of the Bailiff Department. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interact with the public in a professional and respectful manner.

The Communication Director serves at the pleasure of the Court and is an at\-will employee. This position is not part of the classified civil service system and is not represented by a bargaining unit.
