Position Overview
The Regional Manager, Clinic Operations, will play a key role in building and scaling Embolix’s network of outpatient surgical clinics. This leader will oversee day\-to\-day operations across minimally invasive procedure clinic locations, starting with direct oversight of one clinic and expanding to multiple sites as the organization grows.
In addition to internal clinic operations, this role will serve as a primary operational liaison to customer and partner provider groups, ensuring strong relationships, service consistency, and transparent performance reporting.
This role is ideal for a clinically trained leader (RN, NP, or PA) who understands surgical outpatient care and thrives in a fast\-paced, growth\-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Lead Clinic Operations Across Locations
- Oversee daily operations of Embolix clinic locations, ensuring efficient patient flow, strong team performance, and a high\-quality patient experience.
- Directly manage Clinic Manager(s), providing coaching, accountability, and leadership development as additional sites are added.
- Manage over\-arching procedural workflow, processes, and staff.
- Serve as the operational escalation point for clinic\-level challenges, resolving issues quickly while minimizing disruption to patients and providers.
- Lead the operational planning and execution of new clinic openings, including workflow design, staffing models, equipment planning, and readiness assessments.
- Develop repeatable playbooks and standardized processes that support efficient, consistent launches across future locations.
- Oversee onboarding and training of new clinic teams to ensure a smooth go\-live and sustainable ramp\-up period.
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for partner and customer provider groups, ensuring strong, collaborative relationships.
- Partner with physicians and practice leadership to understand their needs, address operational concerns, and continuously improve service delivery.
- Proactively identify and resolve service issues, scheduling challenges, or workflow inefficiencies that may impact referring or partner providers.
- Support regular business reviews with provider groups by preparing operational updates, performance summaries, and improvement plans.
- Define, monitor, and report on key operational and clinical performance metrics across clinic locations, such as case volume, utilization, turnaround times, patient throughput, cancellations, and patient experience.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting processes to provide clear, actionable insights to executive leadership and external partners.
- Present regular performance updates to internal leadership and, when appropriate, to customer/provider stakeholders, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Use data to drive operational decision\-making, staffing adjustments, and process improvement initiatives across clinics.
- Ensure clinic operations align with all applicable state, federal, and industry standards governing outpatient surgical care.
- Support the implementation and ongoing monitoring of quality assurance, infection prevention, and patient safety initiatives in alignment with standards from organizations such as The Joint Commission and Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, as applicable.
- Partner with clinical teams to ensure documentation, credentialing, and procedural protocols meet regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Develop and document scalable policies, procedures, and operational standards across all clinic locations.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce delays, and improve the overall patient and provider experience.
- Balance the need for standardization with the flexibility required in a growing, evolving organization.
- Work cross\-functionally with clinical leadership, revenue cycle, HR, and executive leadership to ensure clinics are appropriately staffed, resourced, and supported.
- Act as a key communication bridge between corporate leadership, clinic teams, and external provider partners.
- Active, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA).
- 5\+ years of experience in an outpatient surgical, procedural, or ambulatory care environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing clinic operations, including staff supervision, workflow management, and performance accountability.
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Experience leading the operational planning and execution of new clinic openings, including workflow design, staffing models, equipment planning, and readiness assessments.
- Experience developing and presenting operational or clinical performance reports to senior leadership or external stakeholders.
- Previous responsibility for multi\-site or regional clinic operations.
- Experience managing relationships with referring or partner provider groups, health systems, or enterprise customers.
