Legacy Home Health \& Rehab is looking for a qualified part time intake/scheduler assistant in San Diego.
We’re currently looking to fill a part\-time, strictly in\-office role based in Miramar, with the schedule set for Mondays and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The position focuses mainly on administrative in office duties involving both front and back office responsibilities—not just scheduling appointments. Tasks such as, but not limited to, answering calls, following up on orders, handling faxes, gathering patient updates and maintaining communication with clinicians and patients about their schedules and any changes that may arise. The right candidate MUST HAVE home health scheduling experience and medical terminology knowledge. Must be someone who feels comfortable using computers and can work in a fast paced environment.
Job Duties:
- Front Office responsibilities; that include but are not limited to:
- Conducts admissions screening and assessments
- Responsible for scheduling clinicians to provide care for clients in their homes
- Accurately maintains client/staff schedules using home care software
- Coordinate schedules on a consistent basis throughout the day
- Maintain ongoing relationships with clients, their families, and employees
- Daily communication is a MUST for clients, their families, and employees to ensure services and concerns are being met in a timely manner
- Rotate on\-call \- Extra Compensation
- Assist Payroll by approving/verifying daily driving records
- Perform clerical duties as needed
- Answers phone pleasantly and with professionalism
- Some filing required
- Promote and represent the company in a positive manner
- Candidates must be detailed, quick thinkers, who get energized talking with clients and employees, resolving issues, providing clear communication and keeping satisfaction high.
- Minimum of one year of administrative experience in a professional office environment; preferably with a health care organization.
- High school diploma. Medical Assistant Preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak using the English language
- Knowledge of computer word processing programs, systems and other software.
- Knowledge of organization policies, procedures, systems.
- Knowledge of office management practices and secretarial procedures.
- Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type from draft copy, review and edit reports, and correspondence.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities.
- Ability to have EXTREME attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with staff, patients, external agencies.
