Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions including Accounts Receivable and Financial Reporting, with an added focus on International Accounting. This position supports the Director of Finance by preparing accurate journal entries, reconciling key accounts, assisting in monthly closings, and compiling financial reports that support global operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail\-oriented, and experienced in working with international transactions, currency conversions, and compliance with multi\-national reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable:

  • Assist with the accounts receivable aging and account reconciliations.
  • Support accounts receivable collection of past due accounts.
  • Journal Entries \& Month\-End Close:

  • Prepare and post accurate journal entries for accruals, reclasses, currency adjustments, and intercompany transactions.
  • Assist with month\-end close activities for domestic and international entities.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, including AP, AR, inventory, and intercompany balances.
  • Assist with financial consolidations and intercompany eliminations.
  • International Financial Reporting:

  • Support the preparation of consolidated financial reports across multiple legal entities and currencies.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or local GAAP).
  • Prepare weekly international check runs international operations.
  • Provide financial data to external auditors and support global compliance initiatives.
  • Support to Director of Finance:

  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to the Director of Finance for internal reporting and strategic planning.
  • Assist in preparing international financial analysis, including foreign currency impacts, margin analysis, and performance by region.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes with global considerations.
  • Assist with system upgrades, process improvements, and documentation of accounting procedures, especially related to international workflows.
  • Qualifications:

    * Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

    * Experience:

    3\+ years of accounting experience, including exposure to international accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting. Experience in a multinational or manufacturing environment is preferred.

    * Skills:

    + Strong understanding of GAAP and familiarity with IFRS or local international accounting standards.

    + Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).

    + Experience with multi\-currency transactions, foreign exchange adjustments, and international tax considerations.

    + Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

    + Ability to work cross\-functionally with global teams in different time zones.

    + Strong agility skills and ability to be perform a variety of functions.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of office materials up to 20 lbs.
  • Work Environment:

  • Office\-based role with occasional virtual collaboration with international teams.
