    Posting Summary

    Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant to work in the Department of Clinical and Preventative Nutrition Sciences.

    Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Temporary Research Assistant, will assist with the day\-to\-day operations and the ongoing research projects in the Lab. The Temporary Research Assistant will work on IRB protocols, data collection and analysis, participant recruitment, and/or assist with preparation of research abstracts, manuscripts, posters and oral presentations.

    Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Assists in the development and renewal of IRB protocols.
  • Assists in data collection and data analysis.
  • Coordinates participant recruitment and conduct comprehensive assessments.
  • Conducts assigned literature searches.
  • Assists in preparation of research abstracts and manuscript drafts, revisions, and submission in collaboration with the PI and graduate students.
  • Assists in preparation of posters and/or oral presentations as required in collaboration with the PI and graduate students.
  • Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Rutgers’ regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
  • Understands and adheres to Rutgers’ compliance standards as they appear in RBHS’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.

    Salary Details $20 per hour

    Minimum Salary 15\.92

    Mid Range Salary 75\.00

    Maximum Salary 150\.00

    Work Arrangement

    Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60\.3\.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.     Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Psychology, Biomedical Sciences, or related field required.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Office Environment, moderate noise.
  • The incumbent primarily in Newark with some remote work flexibility.
  • Candidate will have access to a standard computer, phone, and internet access to perform the duties outlined. Data processing licenses will be provided.
  • Must be willing to have a flexible working schedule for participant assessment.
