MultiTracks.com is seeking an experienced, hands\-on Controller to lead our accounting function as we continue to scale a multi\-product SaaS business. This role is ideal for a self\-starter, seasoned accounting leader who combines technical excellence with operational rigor and thrives in a fast\-paced, growth\-oriented environment. This is a roll\-up\-your\-sleeves role with meaningful influence on systems, processes, and team development.

The Controller will own the end\-to\-end accounting lifecycle \- including financial close, reporting, compliance, and internal controls \- while partnering closely with Finance, Operations, and Product teams to support sustainable growth and decision\-making. Experience in SaaS, modern accounting systems, and pragmatic use of automation and AI\-enabled finance tools is strongly preferred.

Who You Are:

  • Comfortable advising leadership on accounting guidance on new products, pricing changes, contracts, and business initiatives
  • What You’ll Do:

    Accounting \& Close

  • Own and continuously improve monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and repeatability
  • Maintain general ledger integrity, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606 across multiple SaaS products and pricing models
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and cash management
  • Financial Reporting \& Compliance

  • Prepare and review internal and external financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies as the company scales
  • Lead annual audit processes and act as the primary liaison with external auditors
  • Support tax compliance and coordination with external tax advisors (income, sales/use, international as applicable)
  • Systems, Process \& Scale

  • Serve as system owner for
  • Sage Intacct, ensuring appropriate configuration, controls, and reporting structure

  • Partner with FP\&A to align actuals, forecasts, and planning models
  • Drive automation, documentation, and process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce close timelines
  • Evaluate and implement practical AI\-enabled tools to improve accuracy, throughput, and insights across accounting workflows
  • Leadership \& Collaboration

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high\-performing accounting team with clear ownership and accountability
  • Partner cross\-functionally with Finance, RevOps, Sales, Product, and Engineering, and Operations
  • Support strategic initiatives including new revenue streams, system implementations, and organizational growth

  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
  • CPA required

  • 7\+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller or Assistant Controller roles
  • Proven experience in
  • SaaS or software\-based companies

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606\)
  • Hands\-on experience with
  • Sage Intacct

  • Experience operating in a scaling, high\-growth environment
  • Experience with multi\-entity or international accounting environments
  • Bonus but not required:

  • Experience supporting multiple products, pricing models, or entities
  • Familiarity with financial planning and forecasting tools
  • Experience implementing and leveraging
  • AI\-assisted workflows or automation tools within accounting

  • Prior experience with FP\&A and executive leadership teams
  • Background in private\-equity–backed or venture\-backed companies
