Family Law Paralegal – Fully Remote (Washington\-Based Preferred)
Lutz \& Associates is a Washington\-based family law firm focused exclusively on divorce, post\-decree, and related family law matters. We are a small, fast\-paced firm that values professionalism, clear communication, and high\-quality work.
We are seeking an experienced family law paralegal for a fully remote position. This role is ideal for a paralegal who is comfortable working independently, managing deadlines, and exercising sound professional judgment in collaboration with attorneys.
The Role
This is not a clerical or entry\-level position. You will play a central role in moving cases forward efficiently and accurately, with substantial responsibility for case workflow and client communication.
Primary Responsibilities
- Independently coordinating and calendaring court deadlines, motions, hearings, and trial\-related dates.
- Drafting, filing, and e\-filing pleadings and legal documents.
- Drafting temporary and final family law orders for attorney review.
- Preparing discovery requests and responses, including subpoenas.
- Drafting legal correspondence and case\-related communications.
- Assisting attorneys with preparation for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial.
- Serving as a primary procedural point of contact for clients, with attorney input as appropriate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks independently in a remote environment.
- Professional judgment, discretion, and emotional intelligence—our clients are often navigating high\-conflict situations.
- Proficiency with Tabs3 and PracticeMaster strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- This position is fully remote.
- Candidates must be comfortable working independently with minimal day\-to\-day supervision.
- Washington family law experience is strongly preferred.
- Reliable internet access and the ability to work during standard Pacific Time business hours is required.
Required Experience and Skills
* Minimum of three years’ experience as a family law paralegal, or equivalent experience in a litigation\-focused practice with strong family law exposure.

We are particularly interested in high\-quality, experienced family law paralegals and are prepared to offer competitive, above\-market compensation for the right candidate. We will also consider less experienced candidates with strong litigation backgrounds and demonstrated ability to work independently.
