Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth operation of the front office and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and check them in for their appointments.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of the dentist's time.
- Maintain patient records accurately, including care plans and medical history.
- Handle clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Process patient payments and assist with medical collections as necessary.
- Utilize dental software systems, including Eaglesoft, for efficient record management.
- Answer phone calls professionally and respond to patient inquiries effectively.
- Assist with insurance verification and claims processing when required.
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent customer service abilities to create a welcoming environment for patients.
- Proficient typing skills, including 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
- Experience in medical administrative support is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with office procedures and dental terminology is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff alike.
