The Director of Operations, Distribution will oversee the operation of \+300k sf distribution center supporting the Western United States and Global markets. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient, effective, and safe management of inventory, operations, logistics, staffing, and development. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods from global manufacturing locations and suppliers to customers, optimizing DC space and implementing best practices in distribution. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills \& Abilities:

  • Experience and knowledge of managing all operational and administrative elements of the Distribution Center (DC).
  • Proficiency with planning, staffing, inventory management \& control, and budgeting.
  • Proven leadership skills, coaching and developing leaders \& employees.
  • Strong process improvement mindset focusing on continuous growth
  • Proven leadership relative to safety regulations and policies
  • Proven experience with compliance related matters associated with medical technology requirements and standards
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with WMS, TMS and ERP systems
  • Ability to evaluate overall operations and develop short\- and long\-term goals to meet organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem\-solving, and decision\-making skills with the ability to drive results.
  • Thorough knowledge of P\&L.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with frontline employees, peers, and executives.
  • Advanced analytical skill to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement (Black Belt Preferred)
  • Work experience or exposure in an FDA or regulated distribution environment would be a plus.
  • CPG or food industry experience would be a plus
  • Lifting at least 50 pounds.
  • Continuous lifting, bending, twisting, and crouching.
  • Comfortable standing and walking for up to 10 hours
  • Level of Experience:

  • 13\-17 years’ combined supply chain \+ leadership experience.
  • Experience in distribution center, inventory, and transportation.
  • Bilingual preferred (fluent in Spanish preferred)
  • Level of Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or related field, or commensurate experience.
  • Travel:

  • Travel as required (10\-15%).
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance management to support team development and achievement of AirLife goals.
  • Align team’s objectives with AirLife priorities, ensuring compliance, promoting a culture of accountability, and upholding AirLife values.
  • Take accountability and ownership for actively participating in recruitment processes and supporting fair treatment in disciplinary processes for your team.
  • Drive continuous improvement by fostering innovation, operational excellence, and adoption of best practices within the team.
  • Champion employee engagement, inclusion, and career development through regular check\-ins, talent reviews, and succession planning.
  • Manage your team’s budget responsibly and exhibit financial accountability.
  • Individual Contributor Duties:

  • Oversee daily operations of distribution center ensuring efficient and timely receipt, storage, and shipment of goods to meet customer demands.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers and staff.
  • Manage distribution center P\&L, including budget development \& oversight, staffing, quality, equipment, planning, and operations.
  • Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient stock rotation.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve distribution processes to increase operational efficiency, reduce lead times, and enhance customer satisfaction. Implement best practices and new technologies where applicable.
  • Report to Executive Leadership on the performance of distribution center providing updates on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
