Duties
- Supervise all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance, ensuring seamless coordination and outstanding service delivery
- Lead and motivate staff through effective supervision, training, and performance management to foster a positive team environment
- Oversee guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints promptly, and ensuring memorable experiences that encourage repeat visits
- Manage hotel revenue through strategic pricing, inventory control, and implementing revenue management techniques to maximize profitability
- Oversee budgeting processes, monitor expenses, and ensure financial targets are met or exceeded
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hospitality industry standards while implementing policies that enhance operational efficiency
- Handle night audit procedures to reconcile daily financial transactions and prepare reports for senior management
- Utilize multi\-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette to communicate effectively with guests, vendors, and staff
- Coordinate human resources activities such as hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and employee development initiatives
- Proven supervising experience within the hospitality industry or hotel management roles
- Extensive hotel experience with comprehensive knowledge of front desk operations and guest services
- Strong background in hospitality management principles including revenue management, budgeting, and human resources practices
- Multilingual or bilingual skills preferred to serve diverse guest populations effectively
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of motivating teams and managing complex operations in resort or hotel environments
- Familiarity with night audit procedures and multi\-line phone systems is highly desirable
- Exceptional customer service skills coupled with excellent phone etiquette to foster guest satisfaction and loyalty
- Manage daily guest check‑ins, check‑outs, and customer service
- Oversee housekeeping schedules and ensure rooms are consistently guest‑ready
- Handle Airbnb/Booking.com/Expedia listings, pricing, and guest messaging

A small independent motel/Airbnb in Connecticut is seeking an experienced, hands‑on, friendly, and detail‑oriented Live‑On‑Site Operations Manager (ideal for a retired couple). This role includes private living quarters attached to the motel office, full utilities, and long‑term stability. In addition to running daily motel operations, this position also oversees the renovation progress of a second hotel property located nearby.
We are looking for dependable individuals with proven hospitality or property‑management experience who enjoy working with people, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and taking ownership of day‑to‑day operations.
