In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and medical record maintenance. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and excellent customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast\-paced dental environment, utilizing your administrative expertise to support both patients and clinical staff. There will also be some back office duties ranging from helping with sterilization to assisting with procedures as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing outstanding front desk service with excellent phone etiquette and multi\-line phone system management
  • Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software Dentrix
  • Verify insurance coverage, ensuring accurate insurance information and benefits are communicated clearly to patients
  • Manage patient intake processes, including collecting medical history forms and updating electronic health records
  • Handle billing procedures by processing payments, medical collections, and coding claims with CPT, ICD\-9, ICD\-10 codes while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review to support clinical workflows and legal compliance
  • Assist with office management tasks such as filing, faxing, data entry (10 key typing), and managing medical office supplies
  • Support medical administrative functions including appointment reminders, care plan documentation, and coordinating patient follow\-ups
  • Experience

  • Proven experience in a dental or medical front office setting with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical coding practices
  • Familiarity with Dentrix a bonus but not required
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient service excellence in a busy clinic environment
  • Pay: $20\.00 \- $28\.00 per hour
