POSITION SUMMARY -------------------- Performs entry\-level functions, including data entry for voter registrations in Pueblo County. Provides support and information about state statutes, election procedures, and regulations to the general public, political parties, candidates, and Election Day Technicians. Coordinates training development, packing supplies and equipment, and site set\-up, layout, and support for early voting and technicians. Assists with hiring election judges, answering questions, computer entry, and balancing functions. This posting will close at midnight on 07/26/2026 OR once we receive 30 applications, whichever occurs first WHAT YOU WILL DO -------------------- Ensures compliance with state and federal election laws to facilitate smooth voting for staff and the public. Coordinates the development of detailed manuals for early voting and Election Day procedures, including voter registration, emergency voting, ballot processing, provisional voting, and vote tabulation equipment. Supports efficient and lawful election operations and tracks Colorado election legislation. Maintains all election processes in compliance with current election laws. Redesigns procedures as needed when legislative changes occur to ensure election operations remain lawful, efficient, and aligned with the latest legal requirements. Conducts Special District, Coordinated, Primary, General, and recall elections throughout the year. Also assists with redistricting precincts as needed to ensure accurate representation and compliance with electoral boundaries. Implements the County campaign finance system in accordance with all applicable statutes, rules, and regulations. Administers the County’s filing requirements through the Colorado Secretary of State's electronic system. Enforces regulations, levies sanctions for violations, and guides candidates and committee agents on campaign finance rules. Coordinates with relevant entities on TABOR (Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights) issues. Designs and executes large mailings efficiently under tight deadlines. Verifies ballot accuracy for each election, enters motor voter registrations, coordinates voter caucuses with recognized parties, and ensures candidate acceptance forms are recorded after caucuses. Issues voter ID cards, prepares and distributes voter information mailings, verifies voter eligibility, corrects petitions as needed, and maintains all election\-related records in compliance with legal retention requirements. Assists in creating and updating election training manuals to reflect legislative and procedural changes. Compiles and maintains a balanced list of potential election judges from all parties for various voting locations. Organizes training sessions for judges. Ensures all background checks by the Colorado Bureau of Investigations are approved and properly documented, and promptly replaces canceled judges. Manages the preparation, mailing, and tracking of mail\-in ballots. Issues weekly election updates and voter information confirmation cards. Performs data entry. Coordinates delivery and assistance for voters in healthcare facilities to ensure all voters receive timely and accurate election information and support. Notifies precinct locations to verify polling site acceptance prior to each election and makes necessary location adjustments. Prepares all legal notices for publication and posting in accordance with regulatory requirements. Travels independently to precinct locations throughout Pueblo County. Participates in meetings, classes, conferences, and training sessions as required or requested by leadership. Engages in departmental cross\-training and maintains all required professional credentials in compliance.
