Tualatin Hills Park \& Recreation District (THPRD) is seeking dedicated, self\-directed staff committed to providing outstanding customer experiences. As an Office Assistant, this position serves as a primary point of contact for patrons, affiliates, and partners while supporting daily administrative operations that keep the facility running smoothly. This role contributes to a welcoming, inclusive environment and helps enhance the overall community experience through exceptional customer service. Position – Office Assistant Your main responsibilities will include: Greeting the public in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring positive experiences both in person and over the phone. Providing information and assistance regarding schedules, program descriptions, and general district information. Answering telephone calls and directing them to the appropriate personnel, taking accurate messages as needed. Providing clerical support, including data entry, preparing and proofreading forms, letters, flyers, and promotional materials. Supporting program enrollment, registration, and payment processing, generating reports as required. Current Hiring Needs by Location Aloha Swim Center Varying schedules Beaverton Swim Center: Varying schedules Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center The shifts below reflect this facility’s immediate staffing needs. Monday – Friday: 7:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (noon) Monday – Friday: 2:45 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Saturday: 5:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Saturday: 11:00 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. Sunday: 11:30 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. Shift assignments are determined by operational needs. Part\-time variable staff average fewer than 29 hours per week and may work fewer than 1,560 hours annually. Compensation The starting rate for this position is $20\.77 per hour. The full hourly range for this job classification is $20\.77 to $23\.41\. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September. Qualifications To be successful in this role, candidates should possess: Knowledge and experience in office management principles, which you can effectively apply to work\-related problem\-solving. A strong commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all patrons and stakeholders. Basic understanding of relevant software and computer operations, particularly Office 365 platforms such as Word, Excel, and Teams. The ability to learn and utilize proprietary patron registration software is also essential. THPRD provides a 5% bilingual pay incentive for staff who regularly use their bilingual or multilingual skills at work.
