About Us Howell One Pro Painting Solutions is a small, local painting business based in Grand Junction, CO. Due to a significant increase in contracts in Colorado and now Idaho, we are seeking to expand our team and hire established, experienced employees to be the tip of the spear in our growth. Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented HR and Payroll Administrator to join our local business in Grand Junction, CO. This vital role combines human resources management with payroll processing, ensuring seamless operations across employee lifecycle activities. The ideal candidate will be energized by managing HR functions, maintaining compliance with employment and labor laws, and delivering exceptional employee service. Your expertise will help foster a positive workplace culture, streamline payroll procedures, and support strategic HR initiatives that drive organizational success. Duties Manage end\-to\-end payroll processing using Workday, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of employee payments. Administer human capital management systems like SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or UltiPro to support workforce data integrity and reporting. Oversee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and compliance with FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) and workers' compensation regulations. Facilitate talent acquisition efforts by coordinating recruiting activities through ATS platforms like iCIMS or Lever, conducting interviews, and supporting onboarding processes such as employee orientation. Maintain employee records with precision via data entry into HRIS systems and ensure compliance with employment \& labor law requirements. Support performance management initiatives by assisting with employee evaluations, training \& development programs, and succession planning strategies. Handle employee relations issues professionally while managing conflict resolution and implementing change management practices to adapt organizational structures effectively. Ensure OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards are met through proper documentation and safety training coordination. Prepare reports on HR sourcing, affirmative action planning, and workforce management metrics to inform strategic planning efforts. Innovate, implement, improve and adjust policies, standards and programs for our local business. Qualifications Proven experience in human resources management, payroll administration, or related fields with a strong understanding of HRIS platforms such as Workday, Oracle HCM, or Kronos. Knowledge of employment \& labor law, OSHA regulations, workers' compensation processes, and affirmative action planning. Demonstrated ability in project management, organization design, and change management initiatives. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations tactfully and professionally. Proficiency in data collection, data entry, interviewing techniques, and social media management for recruiting purposes. Familiarity with payroll systems including ADP, Paychex, Dayforce or Paylocity is highly preferred. Strong administrative experience combined with skills in conflict management and employee relations strategies. College degree from accredited university and/or proven work experience in Human Resources, Accounting, Management, etc. Ability to adapt quickly to new HR technologies such as SAP SuccessFactors or PeopleSoft while maintaining attention to detail in a fast\-paced environment.
