Reporting to the Sr. Director, Cobrand Cards \- Loyalty Finance the Senior Manager supports the management and execution of financial support of the Global Cobrand Cards Program for the Global Cobrand Cards Program (Marriott Rewards,SPG,\& Ritz\-Carlton Rewards). This role helps ensure the Loyalty Program’s ongoing financial health and stability supports the the achievement of the Loyalty Programs’ financial goals and objectives.

The Senior Manager partners with the FBP Customer leadership team, Loyalty business leaders, MI General Accounting (“MIGA”) Planning and Reporting, GT Marketing Systems, Financial Reporting \& Analysis, Tax, Legal, and Financial Contract Compliance to execute financial and operational business strategies that support the ongoing fiscal needs and responsibilities of the Loyalty Programs.

The Senior Manager will serve as a subject matter expert on financial and accounting matters related to the Cobrand Cards Program in conjunction with the Loyalty Program. This role will liaise with stakeholders to develop and communicate financial analysis for use by the FBP CO Loyalty team and will support the Cobrand Cards Program \& Loyalty Program’s financial objectives. The Senior Manager will help execute programs and enhance systems and processes that support key objectives and add value for Marriott. Success in this role requires the ability to be adept at tapping diverse sources of information, identifying opportunities, anticipating challenges, and executing strategies to deliver against this objective.

Education and Experience

  • 7\+ years relevant professional experience
  • Baccalaureate degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
  • Experience in complex data analysis and financial modeling, with solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience applying quantitative and qualitative analysis to synthesize complex information and present findings in a clear, concise manner.

  • Lodging/hospitality/and/or banking industry experience preferred.
  • Prior experience managing in a complex, service\-intensive, deadline\-driven environment.
  • CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Provide and lead support for ongoing reporting and forecasting processes including monthly entries, analysis and reporting for FBP\-Consumer Ops, Loyalty Leaders, and CO Leadership.
  • Support the Sr. Director, Cobrand Cards by leading and reviewing deliverables required to complete the month, quarter, and annual close processes, including all internal and external reporting on Cobrand Card Program performance.
  • Support the timely and effective execution of the enterprise\-wide annual budget, forecast and long\-range planning processes, partnering with Global Finance FBP team, discipline and Projects staff, and MBS.
  • Provide the necessary internal financial reporting and variance analysis to stakeholders for the Cobrand Cards.
  • Partner with the Sr. Director for maintenance and ongoing development of the Cobrand Cards Program and Loyalty Program’s financial models, ensuring program policies are designed to align overall program costs and benefits, maintain the financial viability of the program and to meet the objectives of the Loyalty team.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on financial matters related to the Loyalty Programs. .
  • Provide ad\-hoc financial analysis as required by FBP\-Customer leadership, or other key stakeholders in response to requests to evaluate leadership inquiries, proposed program enhancements, tax matters or other areas of concern.
  • Partner with the Sr. Director, FBP and Cobrand Cards team to develop and operationalize the appropriate financial controls to ensure that MI financials accurately reflect the Cobrand Cards Program and Loyalty Program’s financial status.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Business contacts to provide guidance and/or consultation in the development and implementation of strategies to improve financial and operational performance and owner transparency.
  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with programming team and other key stakeholders to understand the business, ensure timely exchange of actionable financial information and customer satisfaction.
  • Support financial management of the Loyalty Program Revenues and Expenses as impacted by Cobrand Cards Program performance.
  • Develop and implement financial tools upon which greater transparency and reliability into forecasting and reporting Marriott profit can be achieved.
  • Proactively monitor key external and economic variables to drive the overall financial performance of the program.
