Job Summary
We are seeking a detail\-oriented and skilled IN OFFICE/REMOTE Medical Transcriptionist to join our healthcare team as a contracted employee. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately transcribing medical reports and documents from audio recordings AND VOICE FILES dictated by healthcare professionals (currently on tape and digital). This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as proficiency in typing and attention to detail to ensure the highest level of accuracy in patient records.
Duties
- Transcribe audio recordings from physicians and other healthcare providers into written documents.
- Ensure that all transcriptions are accurate, complete, and adhere to established medical standards.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to interpret and transcribe complex medical information.
- Review and edit transcriptions for clarity, grammar, punctuation, and formatting.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with medical staff to clarify any unclear dictations or terminology.
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining high\-quality work.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential.
- Proven experience in transcription or a related field is preferred.
- Proficient typing skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Familiarity with medical office procedures is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
