Salary Range: Up to $58,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary
The Administrative Services Officer (ASO) ensures efficient departmental operations by managing complex administrative, financial, and coordination tasks. The ASO provides high\-level staff support, exercises independent judgment, and follows established policies to complete assignments.
Core Responsibilities
+ Oversees daily operations to ensure efficiency. Optimizes workflows and improves processes. Coordinates with university stakeholders to achieve center goals. Uses independent judgment to make decisions.
+ Collaborates with People Excellence and supports HR tasks. Coordinates recruitment and hiring efforts for exempt and non\-exempt personnel; creates employment requisitions for posting, and related documentation. Meets deadlines from university stakeholders.
+ Acts as the liaison to coordinate information flow including Payroll, Human Resources, Fiscal Services, Grants and other institutional offices.
+ Manages all fiscal activities, receive, review, analyze and process financial transactions into the University Software System. Transactions include accounting (posting and reconciling), budget development and monitoring, purchasing, travel and records management.
+ Verifies documentation and ensures projects are completed on time.
+ Supervises support staff and provides guidance on complex issues. Focuses on employee development through training and reviews. Ensures staff meet deadlines and follow procedures. Improves employee awareness and engagement with clear communication.
+ Coordinates and supervises work study students. Determines schedules, assignments, and processes invoices. Controls all expenditures and statements of accounts to ensure regulatory compliance and fiscal integrity.
+ Manages fiscal activities, including account reconciliation, monitors expenses, and processes invoices. Controls all expenditures and statements of accounts to ensure regulatory compliance and fiscal integrity.
+ Oversees the management of federal and non\-federal contracts.
+ Prepares financial reports, presentations, and documents for Director and Assistant Director. Ensures materials are accurate and professional for executive review and decision\-making.
+ Responsible for the purchase of office supplies, lab supplies, computer equipment, automotive supplies, etc.
+ Responsible for inventory, and the surplus of tagged and non\-tagged assets.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
+ High School Diploma.
+ Seven (7\) years of related work experience.
+ This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
+ Experience in higher education.

Physical Demands

This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
