Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and drive the success of our retail or service\-oriented business. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high\-quality customer service
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets
- Manage inventory levels, conduct stock control, and oversee purchasing activities
- Oversee employee orientation, training \& development programs, and performance evaluations
- Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash handling with accuracy and integrity
- Coordinate merchandising efforts, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns
- Supervise staff scheduling, shift management, and ensure compliance with company policies
- Conduct interviews and participate in recruiting efforts to build a strong team
- Maintain effective communication with staff and customers to foster a positive environment
- Monitor sales data using POS systems and retail math principles to inform decision\-making
- Manage marketing initiatives to increase store visibility and customer engagement
- Oversee budgeting processes and ensure operational expenses align with financial goals
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, health regulations, and organizational policies
- Proven management experience in retail or similar environment with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in retail management software, POS systems, inventory management tools, and basic bookkeeping software
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, customer service excellence, and sales management
- Experience with employee recruitment, training \& development, payroll processing, and administrative tasks
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control, merchandising, and store presentation
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies and sales analysis
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with marketing strategies relevant to retail environments
- Previous assistant manager or store management experience is preferred
