Lighthouse Senior Living is seeking a compassionate, creative, and experienced Director of Memory Care \& Life Enrichment to help our residents navigate days filled with joy, comfort, and connection. In this leadership role, you will design and oversee engaging life enrichment and memory care programs that honor each resident’s story, support cognitive well\-being, and create moments of familiarity, purpose, and fun.

Summary
Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs all life enrichment and memory care programming for memory care and assisted living residents. Develops and maintains a high\-quality, therapeutic program that addresses the emotional, social, recreational, and cognitive needs of residents living with dementia and supports their families.
Essential Functions
- Conduct individual resident assessments upon admission and ongoing, within scope of practice, for memory care residents
- Coordinate, implement, and monitor service plans and required state documentation in collaboration with the care team
- Design and oversee therapeutic life enrichment and memory care programming tailored to residents’ abilities, interests, and life histories
- Collaborate with administrative, nursing, and medical staff to coordinate resident\-centered care
- Manage department budgets and monitor expenses to remain within allocated guidelines
- Recruit, interview, supervise, and provide recommendations regarding hiring and termination of departmental staff
- Provide leadership and supervision to staff assigned to the memory care unit in collaboration with the Executive Director
- Develop and present staff orientation and ongoing in\-service training related to life enrichment and dementia care
- Ensure compliance with all community policies and local, state, and federal regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and correspondence for the Life Enrichment and Memory Care departments
- Support and promote family involvement through education programs, support groups, councils, newsletters, and events
- Maintain and communicate a varied activity schedule that encourages participation and supports residents’ emotional and social well\-being
- Act as a role model for professionalism, compassion, and appropriate resident and family interactions
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Strong understanding of dementia care and person\-centered programming
- Ability to engage residents in physical, social, and cognitive activities
- Ability to assess resident interests, abilities, and limitations
- Demonstrated warmth, patience, and creativity when working with older adults
- Understanding of recreational therapy as a tool to support psychological and social well\-being
- Minimum of two years’ experience working with a geriatric population
- Three years of direct experience working with individuals with dementia and/or their families (or approval by the Executive Director)
- Two years of supervisory experience in a healthcare or senior living setting (or approval by the Executive Director)
- Certification from an accredited activity or therapeutic recreation organization preferred
- Ability to assist residents with activities of daily living as needed
- Ability to move throughout the community and actively participate in resident activities
- Work environment includes standard office and community settings with routine safety precautions
