Job Summary
We are seeking a detail\-oriented and proactive Part\-Time Bookkeeper / Accounting / Finance professional to join our team. Responsibilities
- Manage day\-to\-day bookkeeping activities, including data entry and transaction recording using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Prepare and process journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify financial accuracy
- Assist with payroll processing and tax\-related activities, ensuring timely submissions and compliance with governmental regulations
- Generate detailed financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, and budget reports for management review
- Support budgeting processes and provide insights into financial concepts relevant to organizational goals
- Proven experience with bookkeeping, accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage), and general ledger accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP standards, double\-entry bookkeeping, debits \& credits, and journal entries
- Knowledge of governmental accounting practices and non\-profit accounting is a plus
- Familiarity with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform 10 key typing accurately under time constraints
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare clear financial reports
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Prior experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments is highly desirable
