Position Overview:

The Production Associate of CertaPro Painters of Charleston is responsible for:

• Ensuring an extraordinary experience for our customers by managing subcontractor paint crews, ensuring excellent quality and a stress\-free customer experience
• Managing production capacity to ensure production goals are hit and expectations of the clients are met.
• Organizing, communicating to, and coaching painters to protect profit and raise gross margin.
• Creating a positive painter culture within the franchise that will make CertaPro Painters the workplace of choice for painters in Charleston

CertaPro Painters of Charleston is an independently owned and operated franchisee of CertaPro Painters, Ltd. CertaPro Painters began operations in 1992 and has become the largest residential and commercial painting company in North America.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership for the production team (painting crews)
• Be responsible for detail oriented quality assurance on every painting job, to ensure customer expectations are consistently exceeded and customer experience is smooth and stress\-free
• Occasionally complete small painting jobs or warranty callbacks, when necessary to maximize paint crew time on largest, most valuable projects
• Communicate with staff and painters to ensure vision and objectives are clear.
• Leverage our ROTOR system to recruit, onboard, train, operate and retain new painters and staff members when necessary.
• Facilitate team meetings to enhance team performance and achieve strategic objectives.
• Responsible for achieving and reporting of assigned business metrics and KPIs.
• Work with franchise owner to maximize production capacity through efficient job scheduling.
• Responsible for leading and implementing skill development plans, succession plans, and annual reviews of department team members.
• Ensure positive customer experience throughout the production process.
• Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
• Adopt, train and utilize new technologies.
• Support sales function by assisting with some proposals

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

PRODUCTION:

• Ensure that crews are producing jobs on or above Gross Margin.
• Ensure that Job\-Site Supervisors are following all CertaPro Painters SOPs.
• Recruiting, Hiring, Training, and On\-going Management and Development of CertaPro Painters Job\-Site Supervisors and crews.
• Select, Setup, and Work with Subcontracting Crews (if applicable)
• Facilitate the resolution of customer complaints promptly.
• Ensure that crews are meeting expectations set forth with customers regarding hours of work, customer needs, and communication (Who, How and When)
• Coordinate Rainy Day Plan (RDP) to ensure optimal productivity of crews.

* MARKETING:

• Responsible for ensuring that a lawn sign is visible at every job (where allowed)
• Ensure crews are in proper CertaPro Painters uniforms, Branded Shirts, and Painter Whites. JSSs are in Gold CertaPro JSS Branded Shirts.
• On\-site production vehicles meet the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding signage.

* QUALITY ASSURANCE:

• Ensure Quality Workmanship Standards.
• Ensure that Job\-Site Supervisors are executing Daily Updates with the customer and office on completed work for the day, the progress of the job, the estimated completion time for the project, and the arrival time for the following day.
• Verify and facilitate the execution of Warranty Work promptly.
• Work with crews to ensure a score greater than 70% Net Promoter Score Rating.

* ADMINISTRATIVE:

• Responsible for inventory of equipment and its whereabouts.
• Put in all paint and supply orders for jobs.
• Identify production and quality issues in real\-time.
• Distribute the Job Jacket and customer Completion Packet to the JSS.
• Ensure that franchise has written agreements for all projects with Subcontractors.
• Collect and Review Job Jackets from Crews.
• Track JSS NPS comments and themes to practice continuous improvement in the customer experience regarding production.
• Responsible for approving change orders for jobs in progress.

* SAFETY:

• Assume the franchise's Safety Officer role and follow set safety program.
• + Provide Safety Training
• + Provide On\-going Safety Inspections (Crew \& Equipment)
• + Coordinate Safety Meetings and require all to attend and sign off.
• Ensure that crews are in strict adherence to all OSHA regulations.

Job requirements:

• Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Painting experience highly preferred but not required; we can train the right person

• Excellent communication skills in a variety of situations (from colleagues to clients to paint crews)
• Extremely detail oriented (to ensure excellent quality control)
• Reliable, always on time
• Creative problem solver
• Willing to pitch in and help with small tasks (such as completing a warranty call back job yourself)
• Flexible with schedule, particularly when needed to ensure customer satisfaction
• Accepts feedback and constructive criticism

Reporting Relationship:

This position reports directly to the Franchise Owner and directly oversees the production teams (contract painters). He or she will work in close collaboration with the existing Sales Associate and Office Assistant.

Travel

• Occasional travel to key events such as National Conference, Training Sessions and Leadership Off\-sites

Work schedule and location

• Typically 8 AM through 5/6 PM, with a lunch break, Monday through Friday
• Evenings or weekends may occasionally be required in case of urgent issues, or to support staff attendance at a home show.
• Some office time required; significant time in the field checking in on paint crews or supporting proposals. Minimal time working from home

Compensation

• Salary \+ performance bonus
• Compensation commensurate with experience
