We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Business Operations Assistant Intern to join our team! Duties

  • Support planning and execution of events (book fairs, author pop\-ups, festivals)
  • Coordinate with authors, vendors, and partners
  • Maintain spreadsheets, trackers, and operational systems
  • Assist with email and phone communication and follow\-ups
  • Help manage inventory for the Traveling Book Shop
  • Support marketing efforts (basic social media posting, outreach tracking)
  • Ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule
  • Perform data entry tasks using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks to maintain accurate records
  • Assist with bookkeeping duties, including invoicing, expense tracking, and financial documentation
  • Support calendar management and scheduling for team members and CEO
  • Maintain organized filing systems—both digital and physical—and ensure documents are proofread for accuracy
  • Provide exceptional customer support by addressing client questions via phone or email with courteous professionalism
  • Research opportunity and help with database update
  • Attend city events representing company
  • Training in various of professional development
  • Requirements

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience with Google Sheets, Canva, or CRM tools preferred
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Interest in books, literacy, or community\-based work is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist diverse clients and team members
  • Clerical experience including filing, proofreading, and document management is preferred
  • Personal assistant or office support experience that demonstrates reliability and proactive problem\-solving skills
  • Ability to type quickly with high accuracy; strong time management skills are essential
