About Loudlands

Loudlands is a fast\-growing, community\-driven music school in Boston helping adults reclaim their creative lives through private lessons, group classes, and real bands. We don't just teach music — we build musicians, connect communities, and create experiences that matter.

Our programs include private one\-on\-one lessons across drums, guitar, bass, voice, piano, and music production, Heavy Chemistry (our adult band program where students form and perform in real bands), and Roadmap group classes including Drummer's Roadmap and Guitarist's Roadmap (launch coming fall 2026\).

Role Overview

We're hiring an Enrollment \& Community Manager — a full\-time, high\-leverage role at the intersection of sales, community building, and program support. This is not a traditional sales job. It's a role for someone who genuinely loves music, people, and the Boston creative scene, and wants to channel that energy into helping adults find their place in it.

You'll own Loudlands' entire enrollment pipeline across all programs — managing leads, running phone consultations, converting prospects into members, and re\-engaging students who've stepped away. But your impact won't stop at enrollment. You'll be a visible, trusted presence in our Heavy Chemistry band community — showing up at shows, supporting event execution, and serving as a point of connection for our band members as they grow with Loudlands.

You'll work closely with the Executive Director and collaborate daily with our admin team, instructors, content creator, and executive VA. This role is hybrid — most work is remote, but regular on\-site presence at our Boston facility and event locations is expected and essential.

Core Responsibilities \& ScopeEnrollment \& Sales (Primary Responsibility — 80–85%\+ of total time)

This is the core of the role. You'll own the full enrollment funnel across all Loudlands programs and be responsible for converting inbound leads into active members.

  • Follow up via phone and text with all inbound leads from form submissions, referrals, trial lessons, consultations, assessments, and band shadows
  • Conduct phone consultations for Heavy Chemistry (band program) and Roadmap group classes
  • Prioritize speed and urgency with outreach at all times when new leads are created
  • Manage the full enrollment funnel: lead → consultation (dependent on program) → trial or band assessment → membership conversion
  • Qualify student prospects and maintain an accurate talent pool for Heavy Chemistry to launch new bands and fill band vacancies when members transition out of the program
  • Collaborate with Loudlands instructors and management team on student placement, program ascension, and level advancement for Roadmap classes
  • Support re\-enrollment of former students — identifying lapsed members and reaching out with personalized outreach to bring them back
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director on pipeline improvements, consult script refinements, and conversion workflow enhancements
  • Student Success

Assisting with the process and systems associated with keeping students after enrollment is essential to Loudlands' growth.

  • Collaborate with instructors and the Loudlands management team on all new student onboarding (first 90 days)
  • Collaborate with the team to guide HC members toward supplemental experiences — recording sessions, merch creation, and other program touchpoints — to deepen engagement and maximize value
  • Work with instructors to guide Roadmap students toward level advancements and milestones that support long\-term retention
  • Collaborate with the team on student retention strategies to increase engagement and customer lifespan
  • Community Nurture \& Events

As a community\-driven organization, contributing to building community and engagement with students and the public is central to this role.

  • Assist with show booking logistics for HC bands, coordinating with venues and supporting bands through the process
  • Collaborate on event planning to build and maintain the Loudlands community
  • Promote Loudlands shows, events, and milestones to our internal community and public through direct outreach, email, and relationship\-building
  • Represent Loudlands at community Heavy Chemistry shows, student showcases, events, pop\-ups, and local gatherings — tabling, networking, and introducing people to our programs
  • Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with local organizations including schools, arts institutions, venues, museums, and community businesses
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director on cross\-promotional initiatives that expand Loudlands' visibility and bring new audiences into our community
  • Manage the Loudlands newsletter to communicate event schedules, program information, community news, musical knowledge, and general info
  • CRM \& Pipeline Management

Clean, accurate, and up\-to\-date pipeline data is essential to how Loudlands operates. You'll own this end\-to\-end.

  • Maintain a fully current ActiveCampaign pipeline with accurate tagging, deal stage updates, task assignments, and contact notes
  • Track all lead interactions, follow\-up steps, and enrollment outcomes with discipline and consistency
  • Assist and support the team with light automation updates and system improvements as needed
  • Assist with funnel analysis and reporting to help identify bottlenecks and conversion opportunities
  • Who You AreYou must have

  • Confidence and warmth on the phone — you can build trust quickly and guide someone through a decision without pressure
  • Proven experience in service\-based sales, enrollment, or consultative client\-facing roles (education, fitness, coaching, arts, or similar)
  • Strong organizational skills and follow\-through — you don't let leads fall through the cracks and you update your CRM without being asked
  • Comfort with digital tools — CRMs, email platforms, project management software, and Google Workspace
  • A collaborative, team\-oriented mindset — you're excited to grow with a mission\-driven creative business and work closely with a small, fast\-moving team
  • Willingness and availability to attend evening and weekend events as part of the role
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Strongly preferred

  • You are a musician or have a genuine connection to the Boston music and arts scene
  • You have charisma and natural community presence — people gravitate toward you and you make others feel welcome
  • Experience in a small or growing organization where adaptability and initiative matter
  • Background in education, coaching, admissions, or psychology a plus
  • Familiarity with ActiveCampaign, ClickUp, or similar CRM and project management tools
  • Success Metrics

Your performance will be evaluated against the following benchmarks:

  • 30\+ new enrollments per month across all programs (floor); 40\+ is the target
  • 50%\+ trial\-to\-member conversion rate for Private Lessons
  • 40%\+ consultation\-to\-band conversion rate for Heavy Chemistry
  • 100% lead response within 24 hours (we prioritize an immediate speed\-to\-lead approach)
  • Clean, fully tagged, and up\-to\-date ActiveCampaign pipeline at all times
  • Accurate execution of all student success and onboarding systems
  • Active presence and positive community impact at Heavy Chemistry shows and Loudlands events
