Position Summary
Reporting to Production Manager, the Production Assistant will support the dynamic work environment in Hughson, California which is home to our edible nuts division. The Plant Administrator will work continuously to present a professional and organized work environment for employees and business visitors.
The ideal candidate for this position will be high energy with an engaging and approachable demeanor. This individual should have the ability to operate with a high level of autonomy to work effectively in a high demand environment with many competing demands and priorities. An individual who is outgoing, hard\-working, and detail oriented will do well in this position.
Position Responsibilities
- Be responsible on maintaining ofi’s commitment on providing quality products and services with an emphasis on Food Safety, legality, and integrity.
- Reconcile production orders (POs) daily to ensure accuracy and completion.
- Maintain accuracy of storage and packaging bins.
- Ensure all supplements are consolidated by end of month; identify and correct tags that need reversal through POs.
- Create purchase orders for production related items.
- Creating and distribution of customs labels for finished products.
- Split and allocate tags to corresponding sales orders.
- Confirm weekly that product has been released from POs that has been technically completed.
- Maintain and update the PO spreadsheet to ensure data integrity and alignment with system records.
- Clear incomplete inbounds/outbounds.
- Update the Daily Operations Review (DOR), including inventory and production updates.
- Track production status through SAP.
- Allocate production output to Sales Orders (S/Os).
- Assist PO creation.
- Production Scans \& Documentation: Ensure all production paperwork is signed. Scan completed paperwork to SharePoint in appropriate production by year and line.
- Manage block product requests form in SAP.
- Track and assistance with visitor check\-in and general production administrative needs.
- Identify areas for improvement and train with operators/quality technicians.
- Perform all other job\-related tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Maintain satisfactory attendance to include timeliness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma is required.
- Two (2\) years Office Administration or related experience is required. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree may substitute the degree for the experience requirement.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are required.
- Strong customer service orientation with great people skills will be required.
- Strong understanding of computer systems and applications including Microsoft Office Suite is required. Previous experience with SAP is a plus.
- Proven ability to handle multiple competing demands while ensuring deadlines are met is required. Excellent organization skills are required.
- Effective organizational and file management skills.
- Knowledge and/or understanding of the following programs and regulations pertaining to a food processing plant:
- + Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

The pay for this role in the state of Californiais $23\.00\-$27\.00 and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location.
