Executive Assistant / Chief of Staff (Solar \& Finance) – Remote (Utah Only)
Company: H2 Solar \+ Grid Plus Financial
Location: Remote (Must reside in Utah)
Job Type: Full\-Time
Compensation: $80,000/year
About Us
We are a fast\-growing residential solar installation and financing operation based in Utah, operating under H2 Solar and Grid Plus Financial. Over the past 3 years, this has been a founder\-led (solopreneur) business managing everything from sales and installs to complex financing structures.
We are now at a pivotal growth stage and looking for a high\-level operator to step in as an Executive Assistant / Chief of Staff—someone who can bring order, execution, and excellence to every part of the business.
About the Role
This is not a typical assistant role.
You will act as the right hand to the founder, owning execution across operations, customer experience, and project flow. You will be expected to think independently, solve problems, and take full ownership of tasks from start to finish.
If you need constant direction, this role is not for you.
If you thrive on responsibility, precision, and making things run flawlessly—you will excel here.
Who You Are
- Extremely detail\-oriented (borderline obsessive—in a good way)
- Highly responsive and reliable
- A proactive problem solver who figures things out without hand\-holding
- Organized and process\-driven
- Comfortable operating in a fast\-moving, sometimes unstructured environment
- Able to represent the company professionally with customers and partners
- Calm under pressure and solutions\-focused
- Comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, automation tools, etc.) to increase speed and efficiency
- Familiarity with AI tools and willingness to leverage them daily
- Strong understanding of:
- AHJ permitting processes
- Net metering / interconnection agreements
- Solar financing workflows
- Submit permits to AHJs and track approvals
- Submit and manage net metering/interconnection applications
- Coordinate project timelines and keep installs moving forward
- Submit projects to third\-party financing partners
- Communicate with customers throughout the lifecycle
- Onboard customers post\-install (system activation, billing education)
- Handle inbound calls, questions, and issue resolution
- Proactively solve customer problems and ensure a great experience
- Enter and manage customer payment information
- Set up and track solar loan accounts
- File UCCs and maintain proper documentation
- Update credit card/payment details as needed
- Manage scheduling and priorities
- Execute on high\-level directives with minimal guidance
- Build and improve internal processes
- Act as an extension of the founder in communication and execution
- Things get done without needing to be chased
- Problems are solved before they become issues
- Customers are happy, informed, and taken care of
- The business runs smoother, faster, and more professionally
- The founder is able to focus on growth instead of operations
