We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Office Assistant / Receptionist to join our dynamic dental practice. Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and providing outstanding customer service.
- Manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, coordinating multiple\-line phone systems efficiently.
- Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks utilizing systems like Dentrix to facilitate accurate billing processes.
- Handle patient intake procedures, including data entry, updating medical records, and reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks, i(Current Procedural Terminology), and Medicare claims processing to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Maintain organized dental and medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Support clinic operations by performing clerical duties such as filing, faxing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
- Demonstrate proficiency with office software including Microsoft Office suite and specialized dental software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft for documentation review and scheduling.
- Proven experience in a dental or medical office environment with familiarity in dental terminology and medical coding practices.
- Demonstrated ability in insurance verification, medical billing, and collections using electronic systems like Meditech or Epic.
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi\-line phone systems effectively.
- Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
- Prior clinic or healthcare office experience is essential; familiarity with HIPAA compliance is required.
- Proficiency in computer skills including typing (10 key typing), Microsoft Office applications, and health information management software.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and accurate record keeping.
