Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and bilingual (Spanish\-English) Remote Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, with proficiency in various dental software systems and clinical procedures. This role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care remotely, supporting general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics practices. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Assist dental providers with chairside procedures, including taking vital signs, medical imaging, and preparing patients for treatment.
- Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic to ensure accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plans.
- Support the team with dental terminology explanations and patient education in both Spanish and English.
- Perform administrative duties as a dental receptionist, including appointment scheduling and patient check\-in/out processes.
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures.
- Operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners and X\-ray machines while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Assist with four\-handed dentistry practices to optimize workflow efficiency during procedures.
- Support pediatric dentistry cases by understanding specialized techniques and managing pediatric patient needs effectively.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, including medical coding and records management for accurate billing and compliance.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure smooth operations in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties.
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic for efficient record management.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience with chairside assisting across various dental disciplines including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics.
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment such as X\-ray machines and 3D scanners accurately.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and medical coding procedures.
- Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English to effectively interact with diverse patients and team members.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
- Background in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry with experience supporting clinical workflows remotely is highly desirable.
