A boutique plaintiff\-side employment and labor law firm seeks a full\-time Paralegal to join our team. A successful candidate will provide support to a team of six or more attorneys and will have extensive client contact (primarily via phone and Zoom/Teams). This position entails a mix of substantive legal work and administrative duties.

We handle fast\-paced and exciting litigation on behalf of federal employees around the country, as well as private\-sector workers in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of 6\+ attorneys in fast\-paced litigation firm;
- Extensive client contact, including participation in initial consultations;
- Communicate with potential clients, judges, clients, and opposing counsel;
- Assist clients and attorneys with assembling evidence and affidavits in support of their claims;
- Analyze legal issues and conduct legal research under federal and state anti\-discrimination laws;
- Develop evidence, help clients with affidavits and discovery responses, evaluate and process discovery responses, prepare prehearing reports and exhibits, assist at trials;
- Assemble and analyze medical records and conduct legal research to evaluate value of claims;
- Review investigative reports, testimonies, interviews, files, and documents for employment matters such as discrimination, whistleblowing reprisal, and wrongful termination;
- Provide litigation support to attorneys during deposition and trial by handling exhibits, taking notes, reviewing trial transcripts, and scheduling witness interviews, meetings, depositions, and other proceedings;
- Prepare attorney fee summaries;
- Electronically file pleadings in federal administrative cases and court;
- Docketing and calendaring cases;
- Management of social media.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Ability to consistently deliver high quality work;
- Highly skilled in client or customer communications;
- Ability to analyze, organize, and interpret client information and documents;
- Demonstrable proficiency in MS Office 365 software environment and Adobe Acrobat Pro;
- Highly attentive to detail and superior organizational and time management skills;
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines, including promptly responding to communications from clients, attorneys, and judges;
- Ability to keep systems organized and work cooperatively with a variety of staff;
- Skill in problem analysis and problem solving.
- Paralegal certificate;
- Bachelor’s degree or other post\-secondary education;
- Substantive legal assistant and/or paralegal or client intake experience;
- Experience in employment and labor litigation (federal sector employment law a plus);
- Experience with preparation for trials, hearings, and depositions;
- Experience preparing pleadings and court filings;
- Familiarity with legal billing principles and practices.

We are located in downtown Washington, DC. The expected salary range for this position is between $24 \- $36 / hour commensurate with experience.
