Job Summary E\&E Co. Ltd. is seeking a detail\-oriented and highly organized Payroll Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration while maintaining full compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws. Beyond payroll, you will also support day\-to\-day accounting functions including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, vendor payments, month\-end close, financial statements, and bank reconciliation. You will work closely alongside HR and Finance to foster a positive work environment and ensure employee satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings a strong payroll background combined with solid accounting fundamentals, thrives under tight deadlines, and takes pride in accuracy and confidentiality. Core Duties \& Responsibilities Payroll Processing \& Compliance — Prepare, review, and process multi\-state and multi\-company payrolls accurately and on time, ensuring proper calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and paid leave in full compliance with FLSA, IRS, and applicable state and local labor laws. Tax Filing \& Reporting — File and reconcile payroll tax reports including quarterly and annual filings (941, 940, W\-2, W\-3\), ensure accurate remittance of payroll taxes, garnishments, benefit deductions, and support internal and external audits with proper payroll documentation. Payroll Administration \& System Maintenance — Manage all payroll administrative functions including auditing payroll registers, transmitting payroll, maintaining employee records and pay data within the payroll system, processing status changes, new hires, terminations, and pay rate updates, and ensuring data integrity across all payroll entries and system records. 401(k) Plan Administration \& Compliance — Administer the company's 401(k) plan including enrollment, contribution processing, and loan/distribution management, and lead the annual 401(k) audit process including preparation and filing of Form 5500 in compliance with DOL and IRS requirements. Accounting Functions — Support day\-to\-day accounting operations including preparing and posting journal entries, maintaining and reconciling general ledger (GL) accounts, processing vendor payments, performing month\-end and year\-end close, preparing financial statements and management reports, managing banking activities and bank reconciliation, and ensuring accuracy and compliance across all accounting records. Employee Support \& Confidentiality — Serve as a resource for employee payroll inquiries, providing clear guidance on pay, deductions, and payroll policies while maintaining strict confidentiality of employee compensation and personal information.
