CMHA is looking to hire full\-time Clinician III on our Adult Outpatient team. This position will be located at 233 Main St. New Britain, CT 06051\. Monday\-Friday, 8:30am\-4:30pm. Compensation Range: The salary range for this position starts at $70,500 Compensation for each position is determined not only by years of relevant experience, education, and skills, but also by maintaining internal pay equity. Summary: The Clinician III role will provide assessment and clinical treatment to all clients presented to the program by utilizing individual treatments inclusive of individual, family and group therapy to address identified client needs. Assists Program Manager in the supervisory and administrative aspects of the program as assigned. Represents and promotes CMHA at various community and professional forums. Essential Responsibilities and Target Outcomes: Completes assessment tool, integrates pertinent information to establish diagnosis, and analyzes data to create clinical formulation within designated timeframe. Develops achievable goals with client; with measurable and behavioral objectives within designated timeframes. Monitors treatment progress and provides updates within identified timeframes and as necessary. Performs individual, family and group treatment utilizing evidence based practices to facilitate positive strength\-based change. Collaborates with other providers by providing all pertinent clinical information in a timely manner. Responds to crisis situations and triages appropriately, communicating clearly with professionals –internal and external – to meet presenting client needs. Provides referrals and linkage to community and internal resources as necessary to address client need. Secures reimbursement by obtaining authorizations, providing accurate documentation and the submitting progress notes in a timely manner. Completes documentation within designated timeframes as established by CMHA and external regulatory agencies. Assists supervisor in the day\-to\-day clinical management of designated program and specific grants as assigned. Provides effective clinical supervision to interns and staff as assigned that focuses on maximizing clinical and administrative performance. Represents and promotes CMHA at community functions and required meetings and communicates potential client/community needs to senior management that will assist in future program development. Performs other related duties as assigned. Education: Master’s Degree in behavioral health (psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy or alcohol and drug counseling). Credentials and Licenses: Must have a Connecticut license as a LCSW, LMFT, LPC, Ph.D., or LADC as appropriate for services. Experience: Successful experience working with the co\-occurring population in individual and group treatment, preferably a minimum of two years. Successful experience in the supervision of clinical staff and/or clinical interns, preferably a minimum of one year. Beginner to intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook. Experience in, or the ability to learn how to use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system which includes appointment scheduling, authorization tracking, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes and discharge summaries. Competencies: Behavioral Skill Sets Knowledge of physical, medical, and pharmacological issues related to substance abuse. Educates clients on issues associated with chemical dependency treatment using a harm reduction approach Knowledge of Mental Health Disorders and the evidence based treatment methods to treat the various disorders (CBT, DBT, EMDR, ETC…). Ability to utilize the DSM\-V and identify clinical diagnoses in formulation of appropriate Treatment for clients. Excellent communication skills, ability to press ideas clearly and objectively orally and in writing as necessary. Ability to maintain client confidentiality in accordance to CMHA policy, and state and federal regulations. Awareness/sensitivity to all types of issues related to client diversity. Effective interpersonal skills, ability to problem solve, use good judgment and work independently. Flexibility and ability to adapt creatively to stressful situations.
