Job description

French is a concept store, selling everything from gourmet food to home decor, all imported from France.

We are searching for an independent, detail oriented person to manage our e commerce operations, including order fulfillment, shipping, inputting information into the Shopify back portal. Experience with Shopify is necessary.

The person in charge of shipping must be able to organize and unpack shipments and the warehouse space located directly behind our office, in Calabasas. We stock merchandise in the warehouse. You will work independently each day from the office.

An end of day email must be sent to the manager each end of day to list all items shipped, and ones not able to be shipped and need to be ordered.

The employee must be able to converse with clients over email regarding shipping questions. The employee must be used to working independently and efficiently.

Lifting of up to 10 lb boxes is required. A personal car is also required to move small boxes from our storage facility to the shipping center located 2 minutes drive from warehouse. A personal laptop is also required, as we will supply a printer for the employee to use from their home office to start each day, printing labels before arriving atthe warehouse. The preferred hours are 8am \- 12pm , 2\-4 days a week. Days of choice for the employee are very flexible.

    The Shipping and Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in the logistics and supply chain operations of our organization. This position is responsible for managing the flow of goods out of the warehouse, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management systems and a strong understanding of order fulfillment processes.

    Duties

  • Perform order picking and packing for outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain an organized work area, adhering to safety protocols while operating forklifts and other equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow within the distribution center.
  • Assist in inventory counts and audits as required, ensuring data integrity within the warehouse management system.
  • Host warehouse sales Fridays and Saturdays

  • Proficiency in using Shopify for tracking inventory and processing orders.
  • Experience with load packaging procedures and safe handling of various types of goods.
  • Familiarity with e\-commerce operations and order fulfillment processes.
  • Strong attention to detail for accurate order picking, packing, and shipping tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills to maintain an orderly workspace in a fast\-paced distribution center.
  • This role is essential for ensuring that our shipping and receiving operations run smoothly, contributing to overall customer satisfaction through timely deliveries and accurate order processing.
