Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Bookkeeper, Payroll Specialist, and Administrative Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and categorized.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
- Prepare journal entries, conduct account analysis, and perform balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate employee payments while maintaining compliance with tax regulations and payroll laws.
- Assist with governmental accounting requirements and prepare financial reports for internal review or external agencies.
- Support budgeting activities by monitoring expenses and preparing financial report writing as needed for management review.
- Handle administrative duties such as data entry (including 10 key typing), filing, correspondence, and scheduling to ensure smooth office operations.
- Facilitate communication between departments regarding financial matters and assist with tax preparation or audit support when necessary.
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, or similar programs.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, non\-profit accounting practices, governmental accounting standards, and GAAP compliance.
- Experience with double\-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation (bank and general ledger), and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes, payroll management, tax experience, and financial report writing.
- Familiarity with financial concepts such as debits \& credits, general ledger accounting, account analysis, budgeting techniques, and technical accounting procedures.
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis using various financial software tools while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on detail\-oriented tasks like bank reconciliation and account reconciliation.
