POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY
To assist the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction in the daily operations of the district's curriculum office.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Executive Office Professional for Curriculum and Instruction shall have a high level of competence in clerical skills as demonstrated by the District’s skills assessments and possess proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Office Suites. This position requires a minimum of three years’ professional secretarial/administrative support experience and displays a high degree of independent initiative.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1\. Serve as one of the Curriculum Office's primary points of contact, including email, phone, and in\-person interactions with visitors.
2\. Support the Executive Directors in the Curriculum and Instruction department with core data collection, processing of gifted testing and scores, scheduling translators for the district, summer school and Virtual registration, apprenticeship tracking, assistance with DESE grant reimbursements and document collection and verification for Federal Programs.
3\. Coordinate and manage executive\-level scheduling, including calendar management, meeting preparation, and travel arrangements with attention to detail.
4\. Prepare, edit, and proofread reports, presentations, and confidential documents using Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications with digital collaboration and productivity skills.
5\. Develop and maintain comprehensive electronic and physical filing systems and organizational strategies to ensure efficient information management.
6\. Assist in the preparation and processing of departmental budgets, purchase orders, petty cash, and expense reports.
7\. Coordinate communication between the Curriculum and Instruction department and other district stakeholders, including teachers, administrators, and parents
8\. Assist Curriculum and Instruction department personnel with data and analysis.
9\. Maintain the confidentiality of all school\-related matters.
10\. Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of departmental activities and initiatives.
11\. Demonstrate initiative and independent judgment in establishing professional office routines and implementing efficient office procedures and workflows.
12\. Provide leadership to other administrative support staff within the district to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of administrative duties.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
1\. Effectively communicate, verbally and in written form, with administrators, staff, and the community as needed.
2\. Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
MENTAL DEMANDS
Ability to maintain highly confidential information; communicate clearly both orally and in
writing. This employee must have strong computer skills including Microsoft software and Google Suite. Have the ability to learn new systems and software. Solve a variety of problems in many different situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this position an employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and use fingers and controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, reach, bend, lift, and carry up to ten pounds. Close vision ability to look at a computer screen for long periods of time is required.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Employment will be on an at\-will basis for 12 months with two weeks vacation, beginning July 1, or from the time of employment for the duration of the school year with prorated vacation and/or personal leave. The Executive Office Professional will be provided a work calendar showing the specific daily work schedule of the employee. The work calendar may be modified by the Board of Education at any time, as needs dictate. Eight hours will constitute a workday. The Chief Human Resources Officer or the employee’s supervisor will establish a definite daily schedule.
The yearly salary will be disbursed in twenty\-four (24\) equal payments.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of support staff personnel.
