Platform of Greatness (POG) is building a next\-generation sports technology platform focused on transforming the youth and amateur sports industry.

Our platform is designed to unify critical parts of the sports ecosystem into a single operational environment — including organizations, leagues, teams, scheduling, venue operations, communication, payments, commerce, media, statistics, and athlete development infrastructure.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer capable of contributing across backend systems, APIs, infrastructure, mobile systems, platform scalability, and operational tooling.

This role requires someone who can:

• Operate independently
• Write production\-quality code
• Solve complex technical problems
• Contribute to architecture decisions
• Work effectively in fast\-moving startup environments
• Help scale systems before bottlenecks occur

You will work directly on critical systems that power the platform, including:

• Sports operations infrastructure
• Scheduling systems
• Marketplace/payment systems
• Messaging systems
• Media upload and delivery systems
• Statistics and standings infrastructure
• Organizational hierarchy systems
• Admin and operational tooling
• Mobile and API integrations

This is a hands\-on engineering role with significant ownership and visibility.

Required ExperienceCore Technical RequirementsBackend Engineering

Strong production experience with:

• Python
• Django
• Django REST Framework (DRF)
• REST API architecture

Candidates should be comfortable working in large backend codebases and contributing to architectural improvements.

Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)

• Infrastructure debugging

Experience building and supporting production cloud systems is required.

Database Experience

Understanding when to use relational vs NoSQL systems appropriately is important.

Frontend \& Mobile Experience

Platform Engineering Experience

Preferred experience with:

• SaaS platforms
• Marketplace systems

Sports Industry Knowledge (Strongly Preferred)

Candidates with experience in sports technology or sports operations environments will be heavily prioritized.

Pay: $105,000\.00 \- $185,000\.00 per year
