Position Description
The Salesforce Platform Administrator administers and advises on the design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of a Salesforce platform for the organization. The incumbent collects user requirements and directs the configuration, design, redesign, installation, migration, and maintenance processes associated with databases and resources. This role manages and maintains databases, applications, and projects while providing service in accordance with established operational procedures and company policies. The Salesforce Platform Administrator develops and enforces ownership of applications and sites with stakeholders, promotes adoption by users, trains and supports users in the Salesforce platform, and explains the effects of designs and changes to users. The incumbent creates, updates, and maintains documentation and information to enable users to access and accurately perform available functions.
Essential Position Functions
- + Administer, configure, and maintain the organization’s Salesforce platform, including user management, profiles, roles, permission sets, and security settings.
- + Collect and analyze user requirements to drive the design, configuration, and redesign of Salesforce environments, including workflows, flows, validation rules, custom objects, and page layouts.
- + Manage and maintain Salesforce databases, applications, and related projects in accordance with organizational policies and operational procedures.
- + Develop and enforce application and site ownership with stakeholders; lead change management and promote user adoption across the organization.
- + Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to Salesforce users at all levels; clearly communicate the effects of system designs and configuration changes.
- + Create, update, and maintain documentation including user guides, training materials, and process documentation to enable accurate use of available platform functions.
- + Plan and execute Salesforce platform upgrades, patches, and releases in coordination with stakeholders and technology teams.
- + Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to maintain system integrity and availability.
- + Collaborate with developers and business analysts to support custom development, integrations, and data migrations.
- + Advise on and implement Salesforce Agentforce capabilities, including the design and administration of AI\-powered agent workflows.
- + Ensure compliance with data governance, security best practices, and regulatory requirements within the Salesforce environment.

- + Salesforce Platform App Builder (Admin II) – Preferred
- + Salesforce Agentforce Specialist – Preferred

Competencies for the Role
The Salesforce Platform Administrator demonstrates advanced proficiency in Salesforce platform administration, configuration, and governance. This role requires strong analytical and problem\-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to user enablement and adoption. The incumbent must be capable of translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions and managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Experience advising on and implementing Agentforce and AI\-driven automation is highly valued.
Physical Requirements for the Role
This position is primarily sedentary and requires the ability to work at a computer for extended periods, including viewing monitors, using keyboards, and operating standard office equipment. The role may require occasional standing, walking, and minimal lifting (up to 10 pounds).

Work Environment
The work environment for this position is primarily a professional office or remote setting with standard business conditions. The role involves regular use of computers and related technology in a low\-noise environment and frequent collaboration with technical and non\-technical stakeholders. Work is generally performed during normal business hours with minimal physical risk, and the environment supports adherence to established cybersecurity, data governance, safety, and organizational policies.

Travel is anticipated to be less than 10% within the Continental United States.
