ACCOUNTING COORDINATOR (PART\-TIME)

Location: San Rafael, California (In\-person) and Remote (after first 90 days)

Schedule: Part\-Time, 24 Hours per Week

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail\-oriented and organized Accounting Coordinator to support our day\-to\-day accounting operations and provide general executive assistant support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing financial accuracy with administrative coordination and thrives in a collaborative environment.

This role is an excellent fit for an experienced accounting professional that requires some flexibility within their schedule. Reasonable schedule flexibility and accommodations will be made to optimize productivity, workflow, and logistics.

The Accounting Coordinator will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting functions, bill pay, customer billing and administrative support for company leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting \& Finance Support

  • Process accounts payable, including invoice entry, payment tracking, and vendor communication
  • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections follow\-up, and payment reconciliation
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and general ledger support
  • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
  • Support monthly closing activities and preparation of financial reports
  • Coordinate with external accountants, bookkeepers, or vendors as needed
  • Help ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
  • Executive \& Administrative Support

  • Provide general administrative support to company leadership
  • Provide general executive assistant support the CEO
  • Assist with document preparation, correspondence, and data entry
  • Organize digital files and maintain administrative systems
  • Help coordinate office operations and special projects as assigned
  • Qualifications

  • 5\+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, administrative, or related experience preferred
  • College degree preferred, or excellent experience
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Extensive Quickbooks experience
  • MUST BE VERY ORGANIZED!!
  • Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally

  • Compensation

    Hourly compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable California wage and hour requirements.
