Job Overview
We are seeking a detail\-oriented Medical\-Legal Report Editor with experience in QME, IME, and SIBTF reports. This role involves reviewing, editing, and formatting complex medical\-legal reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with California workers’ compensation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and proofread QME, IME, and SIBTF reports for grammar, clarity, and structure
- Ensure reports maintain physician voice while improving readability and organization
- Verify completeness of key sections (history, exam findings, causation, apportionment, etc.)
- Ensure consistency with California medical\-legal reporting requirements
- Collaborate with physicians and transcription staff to finalize reports
- Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Prior experience editing QME, IME, and/or SIBTF reports (required)
- Strong understanding of California workers’ compensation system
- Excellent grammar, editing, and proofreading skills
- Ability to work with detailed, technical medical content
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with AMA Guides and medical terminology preferred
- Experience working with medical\-legal or workers’ compensation organizations
- Background in medical transcription, legal editing, or healthcare documentation
- Competitive, based on experience (hourly or per\-report basis)
